Do I detect a note of sarcasm regarding the extension of the best coach in the division? OK, Chili hasn't taken the Vikings to the Super Bowl (yet) like Lovie Smith and he doesn't even have one playoff win (yet) like Mike McCarthy, but who is the elite team of the NFC North for the past two years? Chili got off to a bad start with Vikings fans but he has made strides the past two years.

Adebayo Akinfenwa grabbed two second-half goals to earn Northampton an unlikely 2-2 draw against Crewe. Calvin Zola twice went close before Clayton Donaldson gave Crewe a 14th minute lead after he capitalised on a mistake by Patrick Kanyuka. Crewe doubled their advantage two minutes before the break when John Johnson could only turn Zola's low cross into his own net.

She wept in front of millions of viewers after an agonising injury left her Strictly Come Dancing dreams in tatters. And Olympic hopeful Jade Johnson has revealed she was battling the BBC to be allowed to return to the BBC ballroom show. The 29-year-old, who hopes to compete in the London 2012 Olympics in the long jump, was seen by more than 10 million fans with tears streaming down her face last Saturday after her knee 'popped' out of its joint during rehearsals for the Tango.

It’s taken a lot of energy out of me, and at the end of the day we still don’t know what is going to happen.   -Jade Johnson

Peyton Manning is one of the few quarterbacks who tends to do well against the Baltimore defense, which will be without key linebacker/DE Terrell Suggs (right knee). Following that gritty, if somewhat fortuitous, comeback against New England, the Colts should be feeling rather spry. They are 9-0 for the third time in five years, and have a franchise-record 18 consecutive regular-season victories.

We can't be in any better spot, that's a given   -Jim Caldwell

The Tenaha Tigers took care of business in the second round of the Class A Division II playoffs here at Jack V. Murphy Bear Stadium by turning two Victor Johnson interceptions in the first half into short touchdown drives, while taking advantage of a pick by Cobi Steadman to take a 30-0 lead at intermission en route to an easy 36-6 victory over Maud Friday night. Tenaha (12-0) kept its perfect mark intact with the victory, and will now set its sights on Mart in the Regional round of the playoffs. Mart (

Even Martin Johnson acknowledges that any progress he is making with England may not be immediately obvious to those sitting in the Twickenham stands or watching on television. In the wake of last week's uninspiring 16-9 win over Argentina, critics, including some of Johnson's former teammates, questioned whether the former lock was capable of forging a team imaginative enough to compete with the world's best. And most will be no wiser after Saturday's 19-6 loss to New Zealand.

It may not have been reflected in what we did on the field, and people may disagree with that based on what they've seen   -Martin Johnson
